COUNTER TO CROSS WITH SLIP AND LIVER HOOK

Slip inside the opponent's cross — moving your head to the outside of the punch — and return with a left hook to the liver. The liver shot is one of the most debilitating strikes in combat sports, and it lands cleanly when the opponent has committed to their rear hand. This counter rewards fighters who are comfortable moving their head under pressure.
